Products

With a wide range of quality products, DoorTECH has the solution to all finger trapping risks on hinge and handle side of doors, products available are:

• Door Finger Protector: Fixed to the hinged side of a door to prevent finger trapping when the door is opened. Fitted without nails or screws to protect the door, easily removed for door maintenance, ergonomic design and does not restrict door movement. Suited for all types of door including UPVC, glass, metal, crittal, fire exits with push bars, pivot-hinge, flag hinge and bi-fold. Available in four colours white, grey, beech and mahogany. The product is lead and cadmium free, fire and adhesive tested to S1755, ISO1182, and BS476 and is manufactured to ISO900 standard. Designed to last for approximately fifteen years.
• Door Hinge Protector: For the hinge pin side of the door, this device when used with the door finger protector allows for complete door safety when the door is open.
• Door Slam Stop: For handle side safety solutions, door slam stop is a device that locks itself when a door is closed at speed and with force. The slam stop will then release itself allowing the door to close fully but slowly. Used for most wooden frame doors with simple installation. For metal and UPVC doors and internal and external gates is a device called Door Safe Stop, this can also be fitted to wooden doors, including double and twin pivot doors.
• Door Restraints: In order to ensure outward opening doors on public buildings comply with current regulations, door restraints can be installed. Manufactured from steel and incorporated into the ground, the restraint has a rubber stop to minimise damage on impact.
• PVC Strip Curtains: These can be installed in a wide variety of applications in both commercial and educational environments. Where a door needs to be kept open, PVC strip curtains can be fitted to allow easy movement through the entrance without compromising heat loss, noise reduction and protection from debris and insects.

Should a risk assessment be required by the client, then DoorTECH will carry out a full survey to establish the risks and advise on the most efficient and cost effective solution.
