John Strand Mini Kitchens was established in 1997 as a subsidiary to the highly successful John Strand Ltd, in order to concentrate purely on space creating products. The company carefully sources products including mini kitchens, wall beds, tables and accessories from leading international manufacturers and designers. The client base is varied, ranging from large-scale multiple unit projects for developments and student accommodation, through to individual products for domestic customers for their home offices and annexes.

As a renowned specialist in furniture and interiors, the John Strand range of products must comply with a strict selection criteria and offer high quality, versatility, EU Health and Safety compliance, create space and be easy to install. In addition to the standard range, bespoke kitchens and pieces of furniture can be created to find the perfect solution.

Products

Over ten years after the John Strand mini-kitchen by Electrolux was developed, this small-space kitchen remains as popular as ever, but has continued to move with the times to expand and incorporate the whole product range. Many of the kitchens, wall beds and tables can be seen in hotels, student accommodation, hospitals, schools and offices throughout the UK.

Kitchens

John Strand kitchens are perfect for applications where space is at a premium. The company has extensive experience in selling single kitchens to private customers or multiple kitchens for contractors and developers. Sold as a complete unit, the kitchens are ready to be connected to the water supply, simply plugged in and used. The kitchens are often specified for schools, staff rooms, apartments, hotels, offices, warehouses and shops. Every kitchen is equipped with a sink and refrigerator as standard and comes with a minimum one year guarantee. The kitchens can be tailored to incorporate individual specifications such as a dishwasher, microwave, oven or hotplates. Kitchen options include:

Mini Kitchen

The infamous Mini Kitchen is manufactured by Electrolux exclusively for John Strand standing at just one metre wide and manufactured from durable steel, with a white enamel finish. The kitchen incorporates a 140 litre fridge with a freezer compartment, stainless steel sink, storage cupboard and optional hotplates.

Accessible Mini Kitchen

The Accessible Mini Kitchen range is ideal for wheelchair users. The units are height adjustable to offer easy access. There are two size options to choose from, both include a sink bowl and drainer and optional hotplates. Additional units including a refrigerator and portable storage unit is available to compliment the accessible units.

Designer Range

The Designer range combines Electrolux appliances with a choice of door finishes. The pre-assembled units offer a fast and stylish kitchen solution. There are three sizes options, the Kitchenette is 1000mm wide, the Galley is 1500mm wide and the Oven-Combi is 1600mm wide. Options include one, two or no hotplates, 70 or 80 litre integrated fridge, microwave and a large selection of door finishes.

Hideaway Kitchens

Hideaway kitchens are cleverly hidden behind closed cupboard doors. The kitchens are ideal for studio apartments and single room living areas. There is a large choice of kitchens available in many sizes and can include features such as stainless steel splashbacks, hotplates, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, cutlery drawers and storage cupboards. A comprehensive range of finish options are available.

Bespoke Kitchen

Director Calvin Reeves has worked closely with numerous developers, architects and individuals to create bespoke kitchens for various environments including offices, hospitals, schools, nurseries, holiday parks and hotels. With over thirty years experience within furniture design, Calvin Reeves can develop the perfect solution in a range of finishes.

Accessories

A full range of accessories to complement the kitchens includes taps, sink chopping boards, bins, midway railing sets, instantaneous water heater, vented water heaters, water boiling units, microwaves, washing machines, dishwashers, handles, splashbacks and worktops.

Wall Beds

Wall beds are a fantastic way of maximising space in any living area, freeing up valuable areas of space. The wall beds come in a variety of different sizes, finishes, colours and styles and can even incorporate a sofa. When not in use the bed and blankets can be folded neatly away to reveal useful storage areas. Single to kingsize mattresses are available, optional slide on tables, bookcases and desks and a wide range of exterior wood finishes including walnut, wenge, white, maple, oak and cherry. Tables

The John Strand table range is designed and manufactured in Italy. They transform from small, low level coffee tables into full height dining tables that are capable of seating up to eight people. The tables are easy to use, compact and comfortable, ideal for homes or apartments with restricted space, but where an adequate dining facility is required. The extensive range of tables is available in cherry wood, polished lacquer white or black, melamine faceboard in white, black or walnut, bleached oak, grey oak, dark oak, white or black brushed pine and ebony plywood. The Yoyo and Single folding tables pull out to create a useful desk area. Other designs include the Easy, Facile, Kubo, Piccolo, Giravolta and 2004 Bata folding table.

John Strand (MK) offices are based in Harrow, North West London and the company has an adjoining showroom for clients to view and try out the product range.
