Ras-Al-Khaimah maybe one of the smaller Arab Emirates bordering the Gulf, but it is home to RAK Ceramics headquarters which is now the worlds leading manufacturer of high quality Ceramic Tiles, Fully Vitrified Porcelain Tiles, Porcelain Slab, Glass Tile and Vitreous Sanitaryware and Fireclay Sink products.

Incorporated in 1989 in the Emirates of Ras-Al-Khaimah with headquarters 20km south of Ras-Al-Khaimah City along the highway to Dubai, the company is spread over an area of 1,000,000 square meters with a present production capacity of 50 million square meters of wall and floor tiles and 2.5 million pieces of sanitaryware per annum. The RAK brand is available in more than 125 countries and the company now has manufacturing facilities on Bangladesh, Slovakia, China, India and Sudan. Estimated global production is now 3000,000 meter square of tiles per day.

RAK Ceramics started its production of tiles in 1991 with a humble production capacity of just 5,000 square meters of ceramic tiles a day and in 1993 it started producing sanitaryware with a daily production capacity of 1000 pieces. In a short span of just 12 years the company has set up 8 tiles and 3 sanitaryware factories in Ras-Al-Khaimah, producing 7,000 pieces of sanitaryware and 140,000 square meters of ceramic and fully vitrified porcelain wall and floor tiles per day.

RAK Ceramics sanitaryware division has 3 state of the art plants equipped with High and Medium Pressure casting machines, computerised robot spraying together with its advanced computerised kilns and highly trained man power, it is capable of producing some of the finest sanitaryware products.
