Some manufacturers and suppliers do not supply directly to the trade or public but prefer to distribute via merchants and/or retailers.

The most commonly sought items are usually sourced through builders merchants. Specialist merchants however often hold a wider range of specific products and will have greater product knowledge of your requirements.

Select one of the general suppliers of building materials and products from the list below:

• Builders Merchants

  Typically stock all of the products that general builders and maintenance companies would use on a daily basis. These include timber, roofing products, sealants, etc.

• Electrical Goods

  Stock vast ranges of electrical products for domestic and commercial use and usually have access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor lighting products.

• Plumbers Merchants

  Stock everything relating to the heating and plumbing industry, including various makes and types of heating boilers and radiators.

• Roofing Suppliers

  These are the primary outlets for the major roof tile manufacturers in the UK. Large stocks of lath and felt are carried and often a 'supply and fix' service is available for work of a significant size.

• Steel Stockholders

  Steel stockholders have access to all shapes and sizes of R S J's, rolled steel channels, beams and angles. Please Note: Steel is not stocked at builders merchants and are only usually supplied through stockholders.

• Timber Merchants

  Specialising in substantial timber orders, a timber merchant would normally stock every size of sawn timber and a huge range of timber sheet materials. MDF products can also be sourced from timber merchants.
