Timloc launches new dry fix roofline and above solutions
Timloc has extended its roofline and above product range with four new universal dry fix roof systems for new build and refurbishment projects. The launches include a new Dry Fix Verge system for profiled roof tiles and a Dry Fix Continuous Verge solution for slate and flat tiles, as well as convenient 6m Dry Fix Ventilated Ridge and Hip installation packs.
These dry fix systems incorporate some great features to deliver fast, straightforward and reliable installations. These include extended fixing locators, allowance of guttering and a simple, fast eaves closer starter process. Timloc dry fix systems present consistently smart and virtually maintenance free finishes and can be fitted in wet and cold weather conditions.
Timloc’s dry fix systems involve the mechanical fixing of roof verge, ridge and hip tiles without the traditional use of wet mortar bedding alone, which is often unreliable as it deteriorates over time and can be adversely affected by rain and wind.
All the new Timloc dry fix products offer universal design appeal and project flexibility as they are compatible with the majority of today’s roof, ridge and hip tiles and slates and are suitable for most roof pitch types from 15-55 degrees.
New FAKRO rooflights add contemporary style
When upgrading thermally inefficient rooflights, FAKRO’s new range of flat roof windows offers a choice of flat or domed profiles. All have a contemporary style, utilise a multi-chamber PVC sash and frame and come in sizes designed to match those being replaced.
The triple-glazed DRF DU6 has a window U-value of 0.74W/m2K while the DRC-C P2, which offers added burglary resistance through use of a laminated internal pane, is only slightly less impressive at 0.88.
For smoke evacuation, the DSF DU6 and DSC-C P2 open automatically to a height of 50cm through activation of motors on each side of the frame.
Centriflow 3D impeller from Fläkt Woods
The new Centriflow 3D mix flow plug fan in Fläkt Woods’ eQ range of Air Handling Units has been developed to give the best possible performance inside an Air Handling Unit.
The impeller delivers a natural air flow inside the Air Handling Unit where the air stream is not disconnecting from the blade surface either on vacuum or pressure side - assuring minimum turbulence, maximum dynamic pressure conversion and the lowest possible noise level.
The superior fan characteristics are translated into performance improvements of the eQ range offering increased customer benefits and lower LCC. These include improved energy performance and lower sound remittance. The new plug fan is now implemented into all eQ Prime sizes as standard and the majority of eQ Master sizes with EC, PM, IE2 and IE3 motors.

Durapipe Dialock now in ABS
Due to the success of its newly launched Dialock valve, Durapipe is now delighted to be offering the innovative product in ABS material. The most technologically advanced diaphragm valve available on the market, the Dialock valve offers genuine innovation to the industrial services sector and is now available in PVC-U, CPVC and ABS materials.
The Dialock valve has numerous features designed to maximise flow rate, improve accuracy and increase operational efficiency. The most notable is the patented locking handwheel, which allows the valve to be adjusted and locked in over 300 positions, more than any other diaphragm valve on the market.
The Dialock valve is the most linear diaphragm valve available, with the new internal geometry allowing a substantial increase in flow coefficient values and a reduction in pressure loss. The opening percentage of the valve can be seen immediately by a high visibility graduated optical positioning indicator.
Completely corrosion resistant, the operating mechanism is manufactured entirely in glass reinforced polypropylene, eliminating the use of metal parts exposed to the external environment, and making the valve suitable for conveying aggressive chemicals in corrosive environments.
