  • New high-performance coating from Maccaferri

    New high-performance coating from Maccaferri

Maccaferri has launched a new high-performance polymer coating that is able to withstand 100,000 cycles of abrasion – 10 times that of traditional polymer coatings when tested in accordance with international standards.

What will the future be like in 120 years? As environmental conditions are changing more rapidly, the market has started to demand engineering solutions that adapt to these changes. To respond to these needs, Maccaferri developed PoliMac®, a polymer blend with excellent adhesion to the wire, specially adapted to withstand the extremely aggressive environments.

Designed to achieve the technical performance demands of hydraulic, geotechnical, erosion control and environmental protection projects, PoliMac® presents five technical advancements: Abrasion resistance; Resistance to low temperature; UV resistance; Resistance to installation damage and Chemical resistance.

  • New FläktGroup air-cooled inverter chiller for small capacities

New FläktGroup air-cooled inverter chiller for small capacities

The new air-cooled inverter chiller FGAC 1005-1014 CD 4/1 from FläktGroup is available with immediate effect. The new series is characterised by a very high SEER value up to 4.7 (or ηs,c up to 185 %).

There are 10 unit sizes with cooling capacity from 4 to 35 kW. Depending on unit size, unit versions are available as 230 V and/or 400 V/3 phases + N.

With the built-in high-efficiency pump an easy Plug&Play installation is guaranteed and the requirements of the ErP2021 are fulfilled. This means a high degree of planning security for FläktGroup customers. Hydraulic components such as safety valve and flow monitor are mounted inside the unit by the factory. The optional use of a Modbus interface, substructure buffer tanks and a corrosion-protection coating for the condenser means that extension of project-related functions is easily possible.

The units are intended for comfort application. The refrigerant R-410A is used.

  • Vortice launches new commercial heat recovery unit

Vortice launches new commercial heat recovery unit

Vortice has launched the Vort HRI Phantom, a brand new, slimline, void mounted heat recovery unit ideal for commercial applications.

There are two models available with performances ranging from 206m3/hr to 350 m3/hr. Fresh air is 100% fully filtered even in bypass mode improving the indoor air quality within the room. The quality of the air can be further advanced by using the new Vortice NOX filters.

The centralised ventilation units each have a high efficiency counter cross flow heat exchanger with frost protection and easily accessible filters. The units come complete with a wired remote control unit with LCD allowing initial configuration and commissioning, speed selection, display of the time, room temperature and filter status.

Marketing Manager Jennifer Quinn said: “The Vort HRI Phantom adds another boost to our expansive offering of heat recovery units. It is an ideal commercial solution for applications such as student accommodation.”

  • Delta Membranes yellow channel makes free lime inspections easy

Delta Membranes yellow channel makes free lime inspections easy

Delta Membrane Systems has launched an entirely new product line designed to make channel inspections easier.

With Delta’s new yellow channel ‘free lime’ can easily be identified and treated. Free lime is white in appearance and, with Delta’s new yellow channel this can easily be visualised during inspection.

If untreated, free lime in the form of calcium hydroxide can enter a cavity drainage system and could impede the flow of water and cause sump pump failure.

Delta’s new yellow channel is complemented by a range of accessories such as straight connectors, corner pieces, T pieces and drainage channel end caps.

  • New reinforcement product from Groundtrax Systems

New reinforcement product from Groundtrax Systems

Following an extensive development and testing programme Groundtrax Systems has launched a new product designed to reinforce base courses for track construction, working platforms or any other ground that needs an increased load carrying capacity.

A true innovation in ground reinforcement, specifically designed to improve the bearing capacity of base layers with the integral confinement of a granular material both at the cell bottom and sides, prolonging service life and reducing aggregate usage thereby reducing overall construction costs.

Created from a woven geotextile to create a geocellular structure with an integral base, the confining structure is designed to resist permanent deformation under loading.

Testing has proved that a 200mm base course confined with the new system is 6 times more durable than a base without the system. Particularly useful on sites with poor sub grade but also leads to substantial reduction in excavation and transport costs whilst drastically reducing the total systems carbon footprint.

Light and flexible – delivered folded and deployed on site in large dimensions that allow an easy and quick installation (88m² when deployed)
