CED Stone helps show gardens bloom beautifully

Whatever the weather, the gardening season is definitely here, accompanied by the first flush of major shows – with the RHS Malvern Spring Show just a couple of weeks away. Last year, CED Stone was eagerly awaiting the unveiling of one of the show gardens there.

White Marble Aggregate path

The Ocean Garden by Damien Michel was inspired by Miami’s bold Art Deco architecture with its definite lines and generous curves. It was a spa garden for today inspired by the past, containing dominant hard landscaping, tram lines of water and two pools of water.

To counteract the landscaping there was a robust planting scheme, containing blocks of colour as well as plants selected for their architectural and feathery foliage as well as upright flowering habits. Many scented varieties were included.

Damien chose CED’s White Marble Aggregate to contrast with the blue-greys of the walls and rich warm tones of the stained decking. Naturally angular in shape, CED’s White Marble Aggregate reflects sunlight, making it a fantastic material for brightening up shady gardens or designs with a darker colour palette.

Suitable to use with CED’s gravel stabilisation system CEDApath, it’s also great for mulching borders, paths and general landscaping.
