Delta Membrane Systems looks forward to another exhilarating year

The team at Delta Membrane Systems are excited about evolving and progressing in 2019 and have reflected on some of the highlights of 2018 which have helped them continue to lead the field in innovations within the waterproofing sector.

ASUC award

A new mobile-friendly website launched in late November makes it easier for customers and business partners to find out about all these outstanding products and services. The newly-designed website has an uncluttered design that is easier to navigate and offers a fresh approach to understanding structural waterproofing.

The homepage gives useful information about products and services, with direct links to Applications, Training Courses along with Latest News, Case Studies and Products of interest. Any promotions, new products, technical brochures, special offers and resources can be found in this section.

Within the Product pages there are helpful links to Technical Drawings, Specifications, Applications and Downloads. The Resource section advances product information with access to guides, technical drawings, independent test data and approvals.

Around the same time as the launch of the new website, Delta Membranes Systems was presented with an ASUC Award for “Special Achievement” for its Women of Waterproofing initiative. ASUC (Association of Specialist Underpinning Contractors) is an independent trade association originally formed by several leading contractors to promote professional and technical competence within the subsidence industry. The Women of Waterproofing Networking Group was set up to inspire and empower, developing and encouraging more women into the waterproofing sector and for a greater acceptance of females in a male dominated industry.

Christopher Burbridge, Managing Director, said: “We are truly honoured to be receiving such an important award. Winning this award would not have been possible without the inspiration of the Delta Team, especially Georgia, Rachel, Danielle, Daisy, Megan, Natalie, Maria, Theresa, Joanne and Alex for whom I have the deepest respect. #TeamDelta, you can proudly hold up this award as a mark of your achievements. The construction sector and very much the waterproofing industry remains male-dominated and women’s growing roles as decision-makers is yet to be reflected, we hope that Women of Waterproofing can encourage and retain other females in the industry”.

Kevin Dodds, who attended the awards ceremony, added: “Congratulations #TeamDelta, we are incredibly proud of your efforts.”

This was just the latest in a string of accolades for Delta Membranes during 2018. The company also won a PCA (Property Care Association) ‘Special Award for Initiative’ and was named as finalists in five categories spread over the Construction News Specialists Awards, Ground Engineering Awards and London Construction Awards.

Among other highlights of the year were:

Using Deuxan 2C

BBA certification for Deuxan 2C; a European patent for innovating the Flexi Dri Plus Plug and the launch of new brochures offering expertise in the structural waterproofing sector. Several new brochures will be added to this suite in 2019. An entirely new product line was the yellow channel, designed to make channel inspections easier and future maintainable.

Company representatives attended expos, joining UK Construction Week for their Quality in Construction Summit, Flood Resilience Summit and UK Construction Week at the NEC. Delta Membranes also joined forces with the Flood Expo – with key speaker slots.
