Types and Benefits

Lighting is arguably one of the most important aspects of interior design. The whole ambience of a room can be changed by the number of lights used and whether the glow comes from a pendant light, wall lights or standard lamps.

Thought needs to be given to the style and period of home when choosing light fittings. Just as a cosy cottage would look silly with an enormous chandelier in the hallway, a grand drawing room could appear dark and uninviting with minimalist uplighters. If opting for a timeless, elegant design that will not look out of place whatever the fashion trends, choose a high quality manufacturer to make sure the lights last for many years.

Energy saving is on everyone’s mind these days, but that does not mean that good design has to be sacrificed. Beautiful light fittings are available that are compatible with all the latest energy efficient bulbs.
