Addagrip surfacing creates a splash
Addagrip approved contractor, Total Protection (GB) Ltd, has installed 2127sqm of Addagrip Resin Bonded Addastone to match existing surfaced areas at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, a London 2012 Olympic venue which opened to the public in September 2012.
As the areas to be surfaced would be subjected to heavy vehicle use, Total Protection recommended using an aggregate with a higher PSV value to improve lifespan and a 1-3mm Brittany Bronze was selected.
Due to the nature of the contract, the deadlines for scheduling of work and ordering of materials were tight and the weather presented its usual challenges.
Despite this, work was completed to schedule in November 2013 and the client was pleased with the result, advising the work was carried out “in a sound and professional manner, which exceeded expectations in quality, health and safety and environmental management terms”.
